IDA Getting Real – Global Indigenous Filmmaker & Storyteller Convening

Dear Indigenous Filmmaker/Storyteller:

We would like to invite you to register for the Getting Real Conference and participate in the Global Indigenous Filmmaker/Storyteller Convening. The convening will be a gathering of Indigenous filmmakers/storytellers from all over the world to share and rethink initiatives that re-imagine and Indigenize the documentary landscape. This event is open to Indigenous storytellers ONLY. Spanish and Portuguese live captioning will be available.

We will be hosting the convening at two different times to accommodate folks around the world. 

Dates & Times

Time #1:  Wednesday, September 30, 2020, 5:00 pm PDT (click here to find your time zone)

Time #2:  Thursday, October 1, 2020, 8:00 pm PDT (click here to find your time zone)

Here are detailed instructions for how to register for the event. You must complete all the steps to properly register for the event.

Step #1 

Register for Getting Real.  Please use the link, Getting Real Registration (via Grenadine). 

PLEASE NOTE:  You must set up your profile or you will not receive the link to access the session.

Step #2

Fill out the form here to register for the Global Indigenous Filmmaker/Storytelling Convening. Please submit this no later than Sunday, September 27, at 5:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time.

Step #3

Register for additional Getting Real sessions on Monday, September 21. You will receive a notification email when the portal opens.

Step #4

You will receive an email via Grenadine that will include the link for the session on the day of the event.
